Do keep in mind that the PC version of the new title will be exclusive to Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher, so interested fans should install it if needed. This is the same place that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is hosted, so fans of the previous title are already set for the beta.

The high definition graphics found within Black Ops Cold War require some higher-end hardware to render. Consoles come premade with necessary components, and games are usually optimized to their specifications. PC users must go through a different process, as their personal computers need to match the game’s requirements. Meeting minimal standards will allow the game to run, but unless a player runs the recommended specs they have a low chance of coming close to the full graphical potential of Black Ops Cold War.

Minimum Specifications

OS: Windows 7 64-bit (SP1) or Windows 10 65-Bit (1803 or later) CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k or AMD equivalent Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 2GB / GTX 1650 4GB or AMD Radeon HD 7950 RAM: 8GB HDD: 45 HD space Network: Broadband Internet Connection Sound Card: DirectX Compatible. Requires DirectX 12 compatible system

OS: Windows 10 64 Bit (Latest Service Pack) CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k or AMD equivalent Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB / GTX 1660 Super 6 GB or AMD Radeon R9 390 / AMD RX 580 RAM: 16GB HDD: 45GB HD space Network: Broadband Internet Connection Sound Card: DirectX Compatible. Requires Direct X 12 compatible system.

These recommended specs should be enough to run the Beta and most likely the full version of the game. They are similar to the requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but the game’s preload is still substantially smaller than its predecessor.

The Beta schedule for PC starts on October 15th. All Early Access players will be able to enjoy Black Ops Cold War’s early build. Open Beta starts on October 17th for the general community with all of the betas coming to a close on October 19th. This is a limited window for players to get involved so fans are being recommended to take advantage of as much beta time as possible before it goes down.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to release on November 13th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
