Starting at 10am PT today and running until 11pm PT on December 15, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War double XP event should prove very helpful for fans of the game. Not only will players get standard double XP from the event, but they will also get double weapon XP while the event is live. This will help Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players unlock a variety of attachments for their guns in the game, which has huge implications for Warzone as well.

For those who may not be aware, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is integrating with Warzone when Season 1 goes live on December 16. This means that all of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons currently available in the game will be added to the battle royale. Needless to say, it would be advantageous for Call of Duty: Warzone players to level up these guns as much as possible so they can jump into Season 1 with whatever loadout they need to stay competitive.
When Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 starts on December 16, Warzone fans have much more to look forward to than just new guns. There will also be a brand new Battle Pass available, plus Rebirth Island, the first new map since Call of Duty: Warzone launched this past March. Not only that, but Call of Duty: Warzone is changing the Gulag for Season 1 as well, so fans have plenty to look forward to.
As far as the standard Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War goes, it’s getting plenty of new content as well. Numerous multiplayer maps will be added to the game as part of Season 1, including four maps that will be made available for the 2v2 Gunfight mode. There will also be four maps for standard multiplayer, with The Pines, Nuketown ‘84 Holiday, and Raid coming to 6v6 modes, and Sanatorium coming to Fireteam.
While Call of Duty fans prepare for all of the new content coming as part of Season 1, they can take advantage of double XP for the next few days.
