The Sledgehammer is an unlockable melee weapon in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. It is a secondary weapon. How to Complete the Sledgehammer Challenge
In order to unlock the sledgehammer, players will have to use the Combat Knife to kill 2 or more players “rapidly” in 15 separate matches. In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, rapidly usually means about three seconds or less between kills. Thankfully, players don’t have to worry about the Black Ops Cold War super jump melee glitch as much anymore.
Perks to Help
Using only the Combat Knife for quick kills can be quite the challenge, but there are a couple of perks that can help players unlock the sledgehammer in CoD: Black Ops Cold War. The first is Tactical Masks, which will help players out by giving them resistance to Flashbang and Stun Grenades and making them immune to gas. With Tactical Masks equipped, players can get up close to enemies without worrying about being disoriented.
The next perk that can give players a melee boost is Tracker. Players just need to aim at enemies to reveal them on the minimap, which means players will know if there are two enemies close enough together to be able to melee kill them within the time limit.
The final perk great for this challenge is Ninja, which makes it easier for players to sneak up on enemies without any audio cues giving them. away. While several weapons have been nerfed in Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War, these perks should still operate in the same way, giving the best shot to players looking to bring a knife to a gunfight.
