The streak in question should be immediately noticeable to players despite using a different name, as it works exactly like the Advanced UAV from other Call of Duty games. The HARP scorestreak highlights enemies on the map, showing them as arrows so that players can see the direction they are facing. Hovering for 40 seconds, the powerful support streak does not last as long as its predecessors, something that YouTuber PrestigeIsKey highlights in his video on the HARP.

While PrestigeIsKey would like to see the HARP’s duration increased, the YouTuber believes that the previously leaked scorestreak should be more durable as well. Pointing out that it only takes “5 rockets” from the Cigma 2 rocket launcher to take down the High Altitude Recon Plane, the streak can be brought down easily with SAM turrets and a few players firing launchers. Thankfully, the 6,000-point streak cannot be taken down with bullet weapons.

The HARP is fully usable in-game right now, though Treyarch has not commented on the streak’s addition — leading PrestigeIsKey to believe that the streak’s inclusion in the update was completely accidental. Though the update released last night was only supposed to be a balance pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, it added the streak as well. Beyond that, it provides a look at the 3 midseason weapons coming to the game and how to unlock them — though players should be warned that the challenges cannot be progressed yet.

First up, the Wakizashi can be earned by performing 2 finishing moves in 10 different matches. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s knife will need to be equipped when the finishers are performed, and the reward is a melee weapon with extended range and slightly lower speed. The second addition should be equally enticing to melee players, as it sees them getting their hands on a sledgehammer. Granting a major range bonus at the cost of a lengthier recovery time after each hit, the sledgehammer is earned by getting 2 rapid kills with the combat knife in 15 different matches.

An equally long challenge comes for the previously leaked Streetsweeper shotgun, tasking players to earn a 3 killstreak with the weapon class in 15 different games. With these weapons likely intended to come later in the season, it will be interesting to see what Treyarch does now that they have accidentally been revealed.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
