The latest update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War adds ping information when players are searching for a match, plus it makes it possible for players to retain their challenge progress when quitting matches. It also brings back the popular Gunfight Tournament mode, which will be live in the game through May 6 and once again gives players the chance to unlock some exclusive cosmetic rewards if they win.

As far as other playlists go, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans can check out Diesel 24/7, which lets them player on the new Season 3 multiplayer map Diesel in Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, and Team Deathmatch variants. The Diesel 24/7 playlist is also available to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players playing on Hardcore Mode as well.

Besides Diesel 24/7 and Gunfight Tournament, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is retaining some of the other multiplayer playlists that have been available in the game for the past couple of weeks. This includes the Sticks and Stones mode, Snipers Only Moshpit, Nuketown 24/7, regular Gun Fight, Face Off, and Multi-Team Moshpit. It’s unclear how long these specific multiplayer playlists will be in the game, so anyone interested should be sure to play them while they still can.

The latest Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War update is mainly focused on the multiplayer experience, but it also makes some adjustments to the Zombies game modes as well. Namely, it fixes some of the lingering bugs found in both the standard Zombies as well as the Outbreak mode. This should ensure a more stable and less buggy experience for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies players across the board.

Next week, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans can expect yet another update for the game. And in a few weeks, it’s highly likely that a Season 3 Reloaded update will be out, giving fans another big content drop. Details on those future Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War updates will have to wait for another time, however.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
