The clip cycles through several clips confirming the addition of the AK-47 to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. This fan-favorite weapon has been a staple of warfare for the Call of Duty franchise well before the first Black Ops game. The weapon is known for being a high-powered rifle that finds its strength and long and medium-range, making it a generalized weapon for most engagements. Historically, the gun has been the weapon of choice for enemy troops throughout the Call of Duty franchise including Al-Qatala from Modern Warfare. Although the weapon is favored by enemies in campaigns, multiplayer fans still tend to find a good use for the gun in certain loadout builds.

In Modern Warfare and Warzone, the AK-47 has a rather mixed reception from fans. Although it has good handling, the weapon is considered subpar to many of the other options. Whether or not Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will keep the current weapon balance is unknown, but at least AK-47 fans can rest assured their rifle will be in the next game’s line-up.

This is only one of several rifles that are expected to appear in the next game. A leak several weeks ago presented a huge list of possible guns in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Although this list has not been confirmed, the AK-47 does appear on it along with several other hinted at weapons from varying trailers.

The reveal tomorrow is sure to present a whole new world of possibilities for multiplayer fans. Many players are expecting maps, weapons, and game-modes to be revealed alongside information regarding the rumored return of the Call of Duty prestige system. Until then, fans are left with rumors, leaks, and reduced guesses from varying content creators and online experts. The one thing that most fans can agree on, Black Ops Cold War will be a refreshing return to traditional Call of Duty gameplay.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to release on November 13th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
