Infinity Ward, key developer for the Call of Duty franchise, released a full list of notes detailing the enhancements and additions included in the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare update. Posted by Infinity Ward’s Community Manager Ashton Williams in a Reddit thread, the official patch notes outline feature tweaks such as new leaderboards (available immediately) and future updates coming to combat records and the emblem editor in late February.

More intricate changes include the Call of Duty World League Personalization Pack, a payload increase for a limited time in Hyper Team Deathmatch, and fixes that clear up game bugs like killcam display errors and a fix “for an issue where players with akimbo weapons were immune to the Steel Dragon.” Balance is always an issue when it comes to Call of Duty, so it’s nice to see Infinity Ward work to keep everything fair in the multiplayer arenas.

What has most players eager to update to the 1.08 patch in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, however, is the introduction of Mission Team ranks, which can go up to 100. The patch notes explain, “Once you hit that level 50 rank, you’ll go on to chase after a Commander rank until you reach Mission Team Commander Rank 100!” These new rankings allow players to receive better rewards, give them the freedom to craft, and “salvage every level [they] rank up as long as that level isn’t giving [them] a MKII Prototype reward.”

The time has never been better for a patch update to hit Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Gamers’ eyes are already on the title for its current double XP event, which ends on January 30, and will continue to be in the coming days when the game’s first expansion is released. Infinite Warfare’s “Sabotage” DLC will hit PlayStation 4 consoles on January 31 and PC and Xbox One some time later. Among other things, the first Infinite Warfare DLC pack will include a new Zombies map and several new multiplayer arenas.

The 1.08 patch update is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will take up roughly 2 GB of storage.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare released November 4, 2016 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
