Last week’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 playlist update put a focus on Shipment, which was treated to a Christmas makeover for the holidays. The current playlists in terms of Modern Warfare 2’s traditional multiplayer component are mostly unchanged, though Shipment 24/7 is back without the Christmas decorations. One big new addition, however, is the Bounty game mode.

The latest update to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s playlists has added the new Bounty game mode for players to check out. A new version of Team Deathmatch, the Bounty mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 makes it so the highest-scoring player on each team is clearly marked on the map. The other team gets more points for killing that player, which adds a new layer of strategy to the proceedings. Teams will not only want to protect their highest-scoring player, but also hunt down the highest-scoring player on the opposing team if they hope to win.

The new game mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer will catch the attention of many CoD fans, but others may be more concerned with the Warzone 2 playlists. As of the latest playlist update, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players can check out Mini-Royale in Trios, traditional battle royale in Quads, Trios, Duos, and Solo, and the third-person battle royale mode in Duos. The Call of Duty: Warzone 2 playlists will continue to change on a regular basis moving forward, but fans can expect the most popular modes to remain readily available.

Looking ahead, there should be many more updates and changes on the way for both Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Infinity Ward has multiple seasons of content planned for Modern Warfare 2, which will include new maps, modes, weapons, and more, so CoD fans should be kept plenty busy throughout 2023. There are even rumors that a story DLC will be released for Modern Warfare 2 this year, but that has yet to be officially announced at the time of this writing.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
