Some of the secrets hidden within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s campaign include a couple of safes that you can find throughout a few of the game’s main levels. These safes, when unlocked, will reward players with special items, like a throwing knife and a .980 Handgun. But, getting access to these safes does require some work.
Not only do you have to locate the safe, but you also have to find the safe code so that you can unlock it. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know to find the safes as well as their unlock codes.
The first safe in the Alone mission can be found inside a coffee shop. The safe itself is actually hidden behind a door that you’ll need to open. To find the safe, head inside the coffee shop and look for the locked door that you need to open with a Pry Tool. If you don’t already have one, you’ll need to craft one from the Inventory menu.
After using the Pry Tool, you’ll gain access to a small room with the safe inside. It’s a very large safe, so you shouldn’t have to worry about accidentally missing it. To find the code for the safe, look for the calendar and then note down the numbers.
The first safe code is 10-10-80. You’ll find the .980 Handgun inside the safe.
To find the second safe code, make your way to the El Maistro Garage. This garage can be found near the tunnel that leads up toward the church. Enter the garage and then look for a back room with a laptop in the back to locate the safe. The code can be found on the laptop.
The second safe code in this mission is 37-60-80. Inside, you’ll find a crossbow as well as a throwing knife.
