Any loadout with this sniper rifle in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 should amp up the gun’s damage even further. Of all the sniper rifles, the MCPR-300 is the one that has the highest chance to kill an opponent with a single shot anywhere on the body. With this loadout, get ready to score kills on even a foot or elbow hit.

This build is going around for a clear reason; it kills enemies in one hit anywhere on the body. Some will object to the lack of any optics or lasers but they’re missing the point of the MCPR-300. Players who use it should be able to aim without giving away their location.

Silencers are great for snipers who don’t like to move positions after killing an opponent. But remember that enemies get to see the location of the sniper after dying. Plus, a team with good communication will call this out. Plan on moving, at least slightly, between kills, even with a silencer.

Improve this even more by tuning the weapon to favor damage and bullet velocity, sacrificing recoil and even aim down sight time.

Secondary Weapon

RPG-7

As somebody who is dedicated to the backlines and sacrifices their movement to do so, there is little reason not to carry some kind of launcher. It can also come in handy in case an opponent in cover somehow gets within mid or close range.

The RPG-7 gets the nod over other launchers because the UAVs are less of an issue (snipers aren’t close enough to the action to get tagged by opponents). Aircraft that are easy to hit with missiles often have countermeasures for targeted attacks. The RPG-7 will cut right through them.

After performing a prestige, weapons will reset, so remember to re-equip this when it gets unlocked the next time around.

Tactical & Lethal Slots

The game has some excellent and diverse maps, so it is important to choose gadgets that can be used in most situations. The SHock Stick activates almost immediately compared to other grenades, allowing the sniper to run away if somebody gets too close. It’s a lifesaver.

The Claymore is a standard go-to for snipers. The maps rarely, if ever, have a “perfect” sniper location. They almost always have a weakness, a doorway or spot from behind that opponents can get through. For these situations, the Claymore is the best option. Even if an enemy survives the blast or shoots the device, it tips the sniper off to the invasion.

Perks

The best perks for this loadout focus on staying alive. Extra Tactical and Resupply give the sniper multiple usages of their gadgets, entrenching them in a position that prevents them from danger. That Claymore that is only sometimes lethal? Put a second one down and then it is guaranteed to kill.

Double Time might seem like an odd perk for a somewhat stationary sniper, but the player will have to move. The extra movement to crawling is perfect when an enemy is just barely around a corner. Survivor is one of the best perks for the build as players will have to die a second time. For downed backline players, most opponents can’t see them well enough to get them a second time.

Field Upgrade

There are some top-notch field upgrades out there, don’t feel bad grabbing some of the most effective choices. Deployable Cover is going to be popular for most snipers. Several locations on every map are “perfect” for snipers but lack cover. This takes care of that problem.

Because this loadout abandons mobility in exchange for ultimate damage-dealing, players will have to shift from location to location after firing off a shot. Tactical insertion gives players the chance to respawn in an area they previously had to leave.

Killstreak Rewards

While the MCPR-300 may lead the kill charts, it’s also prone to death more than a completely silenced loadout. It’s that classic difference between a preference between a 3-0 or a 17-4. This loadout is much more prone to the latter. That means getting accessible killstreaks.

The Bomb Drone and Cruise Missile are helpful when enemies just refuse to enter the scope of the sniper. Especially after going on a killstreak, players will tend to avoid the area. These explosives make them pay for that decision.

The Cluster Mine is another layer on top of what the Claymores do. This time, there won’t be any survival for the offending party. With multiple mines, there won’t be any survivors for the next several combatants that attempt to finish off the sniper this way.

Get the graphics settings just right and this build is unstoppable.
