As many fans are likely to expect, this is done by getting a watch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Indeed, many different items and cosmetics can be unlocked in Infinity Ward’s new first-person shooter, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare weapon skins, and there is a watch among these items. However, the process for getting a watch in Modern Warfare is not the same as it is for obtaining many of the game’s other offerings, and this guide looks to elaborate on this further.

How to Get a Watch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

In order to unlock a watch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, it seems that players currently have one option: they can purchase the Call of Duty Endowment Defender Pack, which is now available through Modern Warfare’s in-game store. This pack costs $9.99, and Activision indicates that 100% of the proceeds generated by the Defender Pack go to help “veterans in the US and UK find high quality civilian jobs.”

Players that purchase the Call of Duty Endowment Defender Pack will obtain 11 items within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, including a watch that features the Endowment logo and displays the real world date and time. Called “Old School,” this Modern Warfare watch can be equipped through the Weapons menu, and it gives players a chance to add a little bit of customization to their Call of Duty: Modern Warfare operators.

To note, there may be alternative methods for unlocking watches in Modern Warfare in the future, such as playing through Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s violent campaign or by individual purchase. However, until then it seems that players will need to spring for the Call of Duty Endowment Defender Pack if they wish to be able to check the real world time from within CoD: MW.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
