As with past games in the series, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players can unlock a gold camo when they complete every other weapon challenge for a specific gun. Requiring a lot of headshots, longshots, and other miscellaneous objectives, this process takes plenty of work. For those that are truly dedicated to the game, getting every weapon gold will unlock diamond camo, and players can then go on to obtain Dark Matter by earning all diamond camos....

Considering how much work needs to go into unlocking the AMP63, major issues existing with the gun is a bit troublesome. The challenges see players needing to get 5 handgun kills in 20 multiplayer games, 5 kills in 20 matches of Call of Duty: Warzone, or 400 pistol headshots in Zombies. A bundle can also be purchased to unlock the AMP63 instantly. Regardless of which method is used to obtain it, players are struggling to handle the weapon inside of Zombies....

In a recent content update, the developers added the Firebase Z map to the classic Zombies game mode. With all the unique mechanics, it looks like there needed to be a few tweaks to make the experience better. Plus with League play starting today as well, Treyarch is including some fixes to make the competitive mode more functional. The tried-and true method of spinning the Mystery Box can grant players the weapon, though fans will have to rely on luck for this to work. Likewise, trials will often drop the R.A.I. K-84 as a Legendary reward, though this takes time and can take time if not earned right away. Another option would be doing the Reward Crate side quest, though with the Wonder Weapon being a rare drop, this method is not reliable....

Activision was quick to acknowledge the problems on its Twitter account, informing players it’s investigating the situation. Since then, it seems many of the gamers who were unable to access the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta are now able to, but new issues have cropped up in the meantime. Now it looks like some players are encountering a problem where the game thinks the beta isn’t currently active....

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s second DLC pack, Continuum, is out now on PlayStation 4, and it adds the Rust remake map Excess along with three brand new multiplayer maps. The Excess map is almost identical to Rust in terms of general layout, but aesthetically it’s quite different from the desert oil yard fans may remember from Modern Warfare 2, instead embracing the new game’s futuristic setting as a “sprawling metropolis....

In an image posted on reddit, it appears that a listing for CODPoints for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare popped up on the North American PlayStation Store before being pulled several hours later. Power Up Gaming also reports that following the latest Infinite Warfare update, the icon for CODPoints can be seen on the game’s menu when online play has been disabled. The game’s publisher Activision and developer Infinity Ward have yet to confirm that CODPoints will be added to the game, or how they will work, though some pointers can be taken from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3....

Now, Microsoft has provided a refund to one Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare players who complained about a lack of players. One reddit user explained that their sibling bought the pricier version (for Modern Warfare Remastered) through the Windows Store because it was cheaper than Steam and they wanted to play the title with another sibling who has the game on Xbox One. However, upon firing up Remastered’s multiplayer, the sibling discovered that they were just one of two people looking for a match (on Steam, just under 4,000 people are currently playing)....

The story takes place after the events of 2019’s Modern Warfare and follows the journey of Captain Price and the other members of Task Force 141. Fans who finish the campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 get bonus rewards in the rest of the game that include various XP boosts, cosmetic items, four operators, and more. It looks like Activision’s decision to offer early access to the campaign as a pre-order bonus was a success....

In the latest trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, fans are treated to a cavalcade of celebrity appearances that cover streamers, athletes, singers, and actors. Set to the familiar military cadence, Call of Duty uses the phrase “squad up” to promote this year’s release. The trailer, which runs just under 90 seconds, starts off with an appearance from rapper Lil Baby and continues to add one A-lister after another....

There are four grand prizes in the Ultimate Millions scratcher, and the most recent win means that there are two prizes left to claim. The odds of winning any prize in the Ultimate Millions game are 1 in 2.81, but the odds of winning the $10 million top prize are 1 in 3 million. Karpis Kasabian purchased the winning ticket at a CVS Pharmacy in Burbank, California. The store will receive a $50,000 for selling the winning ticket....

Ian Benjamin Rogers, 43, of Napa, was arrested on January 15 and charged in Napa County state criminal court with illegal firearm charges on Tuesday. He was charged with possessing five pipe bombs that were unregistered destructive devices. Law enforcement officers and agents found them in his work’s office on the day he was arrested. A large weapon safe, which contained several guns and the five bombs, was found at Rogers’ work office....

The highly transmissible variant spread rapidly across the United States, infecting millions of people in the past month. The soaring number of cases forced many schools to shut to return to remote learning and left those that stayed open with staff shortages. But California’s Palo Alto Unified School District—located in Silicon Valley—opted to turn to parents for help keeping their schools open. In the days leading up to the Friday, November 1, application deadline, wildfires ravaged parts of California, causing massive evacuations and the destruction of more than 27 homes. Knowing that students were under unforeseen stress from possibly being forced from their homes and from being without power, multiple colleges extended the early action and early decision deadline. Instead of requiring students to submit their applications by midnight on Friday, colleges, such as the University of Virginia (UVA) and Columbia University, changed the deadline for students affected by the fires....

However, Cal Fire is also encouraging all Californians to prepare to leave their homes in case of a wildfire. Cal Fire spokesperson Lynnette Round said on Wednesday: “My recommendation is that all the citizens in California be ready to go if there is a wildfire. “Residents have to have their bags packed up with your nose facing out your driveway so you can leave quickly. Everybody should be ready to go, especially if you’re in a wildfire area....

Officers found the woman dead inside the department store at the shopping center in Whittier just after 5:30 p.m. A man and a woman were seen arguing near the cash registers before the man pulled out a gun, shot the woman and fled the scene, police say. “It appears that a male and a female were in some type of verbal altercation inside of the Kohl’s and at some point the male produced a handgun, shot the female and fled the scene,” Whittier Officer Hugo Figueroa told reporters at the scene....

Not this season, anyway. There’s been quite a comeback for the comeback. The NHL has seen 110 third-period comeback wins spanning 611 games through New Year’s Eve. That’s third-most in league history and not far off the 114 rallies in 2014-15 and 113 in ‘13-14, according to research by the NHL stats and information department. Going into the new year, the only teams without a third-period comeback for a win in regulation were Carolina (0-13-2 when trailing after two) and Los Angeles (0-17-1)....

This Easter Egg is featured in the Der Eisendrache Zombies map that is added to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 as part of the Awakening DLC expansion. It is tied to the secret trophy called “My Brother’s Keeper”, and those that complete it will be rewarded with a cutscene that sets up the future of the Zombies mode very well. However, completing the Der Eisendrache Easter Egg is easier said than done....

To unlock Price, players will simply have to pre-order Modern Warfare. Doing so will grant the classic look of Captain Price for use in Black Ops 4 Blackout, as he was seen in the original Modern Warfare games. Players on PlayStation that have pre-ordered Modern Warfare should have access to him now, while other platforms will be receiving him at a later date. Activision didn’t go so far as to say which day that is, but it’ll likely be in about a month, which is how long it usually takes platform-exclusive content to work its way onto the other versions....

The first and seemingly last entry in the series to release with no campaign, many were outraged about the removal of a singleplayer mode, though the success of Blackout did allow Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to perform quite well. After release, there were rumors about a scrapped campaign that seemingly would have had a co-op focus, with Activision supposedly scrapping the mode since it was far too ambitious and there were concerns about it getting repetitive....
