The Sledgehammer is an unlockable melee weapon in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. It is a secondary weapon. Its flavor text reads: “Delivered from the word ‘slægan,’ meaning ’to strike violently.’ Distributes a large amount of force over a small area and repurposed to demolish your enemies instead of dry wall.” It is now available in Season 1, and unlike the weapons that can be unlocked by completing levels of the Battle Pass like the Groza, players will have to complete a difficult challenge in order to get the sledgehammer....
