Infinite Warfare, which is getting mostly positive reviews, introduces a new exchange component to the franchise that allows players to construct weapon variations after they collect a certain about of Salvage. Players earn Salvage, which is basically a new form of currency, a number of ways in the multiplayer mode. 3v3 Gunfight Snipers Only is a Gunfight variant that was popular in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and so it makes sense for it to return in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. As its name implies, the concept is 3v3 matches on Gunfight maps, but with players restricted to only using sniper rifles. It makes Gunfight even more intense, as oftentimes a single shot from a sniper in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is enough to kill another player....

The two major features that were supposed to be coming as part of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War update was a new (albeit returning) map and a new assault rifle, though it would seem that only one of those has made the cut after all. For those looking to see the easter egg themselves, they will need to load up the Sanatorium Night map. Only found in the Zombies Outbreak game mode, the location puts an entertaining twist on the visually pleasant version of Sanatorium seen in multiplayer. Once players have teleported to the area, they will want to head to the massive Sanatorium building itself. The easter egg can then be seen on the second floor of the building near a piece of Zombies intel....

In fact, one issue surrounding the Gung-Ho perk has seemingly been a thorn in the side of players all the way back at the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. While it’s impossible to assume Treyarch can address every single issue as soon as it is discovered, this issue with the perk has been seemingly around for so long and been mentioned by the community multiple times that it has continued to leave fans frustrated that it still exists at all....

Despite being a direct sequel to the first Call of Duty: Black Ops game, returning characters take a back seat in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. While this allows Raven Software to focus on the new additions and tell a story of its own, it makes the addition of Frank Woods and Alex Mason feel forced. Players only fill the shoes of original protagonist Alex Mason in a handful of the game’s missions, two of which are optional....

This is an issue that appeared in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as some of the new Black Ops Cold War maps were simply too big to be fun. Instead of dodging bullets and having epic gunfights, players spent their time hunting for enemies only to loop the entire map without an encounter. While this does not mean these are bad maps, it does mean that Treyarch needs to rethink what it is doing with battles at a larger scale....

While most players know that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has bugs, fans can generally accept slight problems until the bugs interfere directly with gameplay. Out of all the game modes most affected, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies is near the top of the list. Recent server connection problems and in-game glitches have made online play almost impossible, and players are growing impatient with the lack of fixes....

The presentation focused specifically on two all-new multiplayer maps coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at launch, the first of which was Sarrif Bay, which is actually a small segment of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0’s Al Mazrah map. Sarrif Bay looks to be a relatively urban map that juxtaposes close-quarters building-to-building combat with gunfights that take place both on and in the water. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s swimming mechanic—which was notably absent from its predecessor—seems to be a particular point of emphasis, and it’ll be interesting to see how access to bodies of water can shake up standard Call of Duty gameplay....

Ian Benjamin Rogers, 45, of Napa and Jarrod Copeland, 37, of Vallejo allegedly began plotting an attack after the 2020 presidential election in hopes of starting a movement to overthrow the government, the U.S. attorney’s office for the Northern District of California said. The men were allegedly planning to use explosive devices in attacks on targets related to the Democratic Party. The DOJ also said they reportedly tried to receive support from a known anti-government militia group....

The shooting happened near Alice Chalmers Playground on the 600 block of Brunswick Avenue in the south side of San Francisco. Officers from San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) were called to the scene shortly before 4:40 p.m. They found four men suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics took all four victims to a local hospital, where two later died. City Supervisor Ahsha Safai tweeted updates about the incident. He wrote: “There was a multiple shooting today on Brunswick near Alice Chalmers Playground - This is a horrible act of violence - it took place near the park but not in the park, 4 shooting victims, one of them was grazed one deceased....

City and state beaches in Huntington Beach will be reopened after water quality tests found no detectable levels of oil associated toxins in the ocean water, but officials are urging visitors to avoid areas that smell of oil and to avoid touching materials covered in oil that wash ashore. The reopening planned for Monday was announced in a statement released by the city of Huntington Beach and California State Parks, eight days after an undersea pipeline leaked crude oil into ocean waters off the coast of Southern California....
