For fans of 2019’s Modern Warfare, this new Call of Duty trailer probably looked pretty familiar, with gameplay that seemed directly lifted from its predecessor, albeit with some marked technical improvements. Along with some intense cargo ship gunfights, and an oil rig stealth mission highly reminiscent of the original 2009 Modern Warfare 2, this latest trailer also showcased the team at the heart of the game, Task Force 141, filled with some familiar faces, and a newcomer....

On Monday, 14 protesters were arrested after a group of demonstrators chained themselves to the gate of Newsom’s Fair Oaks property, demanding the governor force the release of immigration detainees in the state over fears they could contract COVID-19. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, also known as Cal Fire, announced Friday the wildfire has grown to 700,630 acres—an increase of roughly 20,000 acres in one day. The blaze, which began in the northern Sierra Nevada on July 14, is just 35 percent contained. Officials do not have an estimated full containment date, stating that it depends on weather and fire conditions. Jennifer Gloria Walker, a resident of the city, was detained by officers from the local police department on Tuesday afternoon after being accused of licking groceries in the Safeway on Johnson Lane. It comes as U.S. citizens are being urged to practice proper hygiene during the COVID-19 outbreak. Officers who arrived at the scene found the suspect still in the store with a shopping cart full of items. The investigation found the woman had no means of paying for them....
